Malouda 'free' from Chelsea

Florent Malouda says he is ready to put his turbulent time at Chelsea behind him as he prepares to exit Stamford Bridge.

• Blog: Mourinho's expected Chelsea return

Malouda was forced to train with Chelsea's youth team last season, and did not feature in any senior matches.

After helping the club to their Champions League triumph 12 months before being frozen out, Malouda insists he is now looking to the future.

"I had a problem to sort out with certain people," Malouda said in The Sun. "It's done. Now, I'm free.

"I'm going to be able to play again next season and I cannot wait. I've been preparing all year long. I'll be back next season."

Malouda's contract expires next month and has subsequently been linked with a return to Ligue 1 outfit Lyon.
