Tactics: How can Tunisia beat Belgium?

Klopp: We tired late in the game

Borussia Dortmund manager Jurgen Klopp congratulated Bayern Munich after watching Arjen Robben's late winner settle the all-German final at Wembley.

Dortmund had bounced back from going behind to Mario Mandzukic's goal on the hour, levelling the scores through Ilkay Gundogan's coolly taken penalty eight minutes later.

But Robben darted into the area after Franck Ribery had backheeled the ball on from a long free-kick to win the match after 89 minutes, and Klopp said his side had tired in the final quarter of an hour.

"First of all, congratulations to Bayern as they won," he told ITV1. "So it's not important to speak about what happened in the game.

"After the game, you have to respect the result - and that's what we do now.

"I have not seen the winning goal for a second time. It was a free-kick and we were not in the right formation.

"It was late in the game. It was a really hard season for us, and I saw that from 75 minutes on. Bayern Munich had to fight, too.

"We deserved to be in the final - we showed this tonight. That is not the most important thing, but it is important."

And he added: "The weather was good, everything was great. Only the result was s***."

Dortmund captain and goalkeeper Roman Weidenfeller, who made a number of fine saves, said he and his team-mates were "proud to have given Bayern a real game tonight", adding: "We played well, but it wasn't meant to be."

Defender Mats Hummels said he believed Munich had merited their victory, telling Sky Sports: "The game was really close, but in the end it was kind of deserved for Bayern because they were the better team in the second half. But for us, it's very hard and disappointing.

"It's one of the hardest games you can lose. I think in the first 25 minutes we were the better team, but did not get the goals we needed.

"Second half, Bayern got control in the game because we lost a little bit of control when we had the ball. We lost it too early, we didn't have the possession that we needed to get a little bit of pressure."
