Wolfsburg striker Bas Dost could be on his way to the Premier League, with West Ham reported to be among the clubs interested.
The Netherlands Under-21 international, 23, joined Wolfsburg from Heerenveen for a reported €7 million last summer.
But after scoring seven goals during the first half of the season, he was only on target once during the final part of the campaign.
Under Dieter Hecking, the third Wolfsburg boss of the season, Dost lost his place in the team, making only five substitute appearances in the last nine games.
With Ivica Olic, 33, ahead of him in the pecking order and Wolfsburg trying to reinforce their attack, it appears Dost could be on his way after only one season.
German media reports are linking him with a move to Upton Park, and general manager Klaus Allofs said: “If there is something, we are always within reach.”
Dost has won nine caps for the Netherlands Under-21s, scoring nine goals.
In August 2012, he was called up to the Netherlands senior squad for their friendly against Belgium, but was not used.
