Atletico to back Radamel Falcao

SINGAPORE -- Atletico Madrid general manager Miguel Angel Gil Marin says the club will not try to prevent striker Radamel Falcao from leaving the club if he wants to this offseason.

Marin said in Singapore on Monday that it's up to Falcao to decide whether to say at Atletico -- the newly crowned Copa del Rey champions -- but the club would support him no matter what he chooses.

Marin said that with "every decision he will take, Atletico will be with him."

In recent weeks, the 27-year-old striker has been linked with possible moves to Manchester City, Manchester United, Chelsea, French side Monaco and Real Madrid.

Ahead of the Copa del Rey final on Friday, Falcao denied reports he was considering going to another team, saying he was focused only on winning a title for Atletico.
