West Ham keen on Ambrosini - agent

The agent of Massimo Ambrosini has claimed West Ham are interested in signing his client, but has told Fanta Gazzetta no decision will be made until the end of the season.

Massimo Ambrosini has been a loyal servant to Milan
Ambrosini's current contract is due to expire this summer

Ambrosini, 35, has spent the majority of his career with the Rossoneri after joining the club from Cesena in 1995. With his contract set to expire at the end of June, Ambrosini is set to hold discussions over his future with vice-president Adriano Galliani next week.

Keen to sign a one-year extension at the San Siro, reports suggest West Ham have moved to offer the Italian a two-year-deal amid interest from MLS side the Chicago Fire.

Speaking to Fanta Gazzetta, Ambrosini’s agent, Moreno Roggi, said: "The situation is the same as in the past few years. There are interested clubs in him, but he’ll firstly sit down with Milan vice-president Adriano Galliani. Milan is like a family for him and, after 20 years together, it is right that a decision on his future is made jointly.

"West Ham? The interest is real, as is that of other English, German and American clubs," Roggi continued. "Everything however has been put on hold until after the final game of the season. Let us not forget that Milan are still fighting to finish third."
