Poyet considering Brighton future

Brighton manager Gus Poyet has hinted he may consider his future at the club after their bid to secure Premier League football came to an end.

The Seagulls lost 2-0 to rivals Crystal Palace in a play-off semi-final second leg on Monday night leaving them to contemplate another season in the Championship. And Poyet, who was linked to jobs at Leeds and Reading in the last 12 months, refused to give any assurances about whether he will remain in his post next season.

"I've not been in this situation but I don't like it," he said. "It's changed my view completely about everything I was prepared for, so we'll see now.

"I have always said that all the time we keep improving I am going to be at this football club and the day we hit the roof, I'm not.

"Is there something more? Right now I don't know, so I need to make sure I know there is, because if not I am not going to stay forever."
