Blatter condemns Roma racist chanting

Milan head coach Massimiliano Allegri believes there should be a definative course of action when players are subjected to racist abuse.

FIFA president Sepp Blatter says he was "appalled" by the racist abuse AC Milan's Mario Balotelli received at the hands of Roma supporters on Sunday. • Game held up by racist chanting Balotelli was subjected to jeers and chants during the 0-0 draw and the game was stopped in the second half because of the continued abuse of the Italy internaional. And FIFA chief Blatter expressed his disappointment in the developments.

Wanings were boradcast over the San Siro's public address system imploring the visiting Roma fans to stop and the match was resumed, though their behaviour marred the Serie A clash. Milan coach Massimiliano Allegri said: "Mario Balotelli was defeated this evening, he gave everything, but he is 22 and subjected more and more to racist chants and that doesn't do him any good."
