Juergen Klopp expects close final

FRANKFURT, Germany -- Borussia Dortmund coach Juergen Klopp says his team won't be swept away by Bayern Munich in the Champions League Final like Juventus and Barcelona were in the previous rounds.

Klopp says he expects a close final May 25 in Wembley. Bayern beat Juventus 4-0 on aggregate and Barcelona 7-0.

Klopp tells Kicker magazine "we know how good we are."

Klopp said that while Bayern beat Juventus and Barcelona so bad "that they could hardly find the way out of the stadium, that is not possible with us."

Two Bundesliga teams are contesting the Champions League final for the first time. Bayern is seeking a unique treble. After winning the Bundesliga title from Dortmund, it can also clinch the German Cup on June 1.

After getting the better of the Bavarians in the past two seasons, winning back-to-back Bundesliga titles and the DFB-Pokal last season, Dortmund have seen Bayern wrestle back superiority this season.

But Klopp still believes that, over 90 or 120 minutes in London, his side has nothing to fear.

"We are uncomfortable opponents for anybody on this planet," he said.

And Klopp plans to make it an uncomfortable few weeks for Bayern too by "reminding them now and again that they have lost one or two big finals" in recent years.
