Conte realistic about Juve UCL chances

Juventus coach Antonio Conte has questioned the club's standing in European football and believes it would take more than a few signings to land the Champions League trophy.

Conte led Juve to their second Serie A title in as many years at the weekend following a 1-0 home win over Palermo.

However, the club's domestic dominance has has not been replicated on the European stage with the Bianconeri having been comfortably defeated by Bayern Munich at the Champions League quarter-final stage.

When asked what it would take to make his side contenders for Europe's top prize next season, Conte replied: "[Zlatan] Ibrahimovic, [Gonzalo] Higuain and [Luis] Suarez? I wouldn't say no to any of them, I'd take all three. But it still wouldn't be enough to win the Champions League

"I laugh when I hear someone say that Juve could win the Champions League with two reinforcements. The reality is different. Recently that has been more distant and the UEFA rankings prove that."

Conte failed to dampen speculation that he could be set to leave the club, admitting that he felt disrespected at Juve.

He said: "What signings would make me stay here? I want respect for my players and for the club, and I will talk about these things with the president and general director."
