Manchester City could be reunited with former striker Mario Balotelli in the summer.
City have announced they will be taking part in the four-team Audi Cup in Munich in July and August, alongside Balotelli's current club AC Milan.
Italy international Balotelli left City in January for the San Siro after an eventful two-and-a-half years at the Etihad Stadium.
Hosts Bayern Munich and Brazilian side Sao Paulo are the other clubs taking part in the pre-season competition, which will see games played at the Allianz Arena on July 31 and August 1.
City's chief commercial and operating officer Tom Glick said: "We are delighted to have been invited to take part in the Audi Cup and to be competing with some of the best teams in the world.
"This tournament forms a significant part of our pre-season preparations and we are very much looking forward to it.''
City are also due to take part in the Barclays Asia Trophy in Hong Kong in July, along with Tottenham, Sunderland and South China FC.
