Hamburg open to Son sale

Hamburger SV are willing to sell Heung-Min Son if the reported Tottenham and Liverpool target does not agree to sign a new contract at the club.

Heung-Min Son
Son has been linked with a move to the Premier League

With Son's current contract at Hamburg due to expire in 2014, the Bundesliga club could look to cash in on the South Korea international this summer.

In recent weeks, Son has been linked with moves to White Hart Lane and Anfield, as well as the Bundesliga side Borussia Dortmund.

"If he does not prolong [his contract] we have to sell him,” general manager Frank Arnesen told reporters following Hamburg's 1-1 draw against VfL Wolfsburg.

The draw all but ended Hamburg's hopes of qualifying for the Europa League and it is reported the club will need to make up for a hefty loss, having reinforced their squad prior to the 2012-13 Bundesliga season.

Son, who has scored 11 league goals this season, has said he would not discuss his future until the end of the Bundesliga season.
