Liverpool forward Luis Suarez has quashed speculation linking him away from the club by confirming his ‘future’ remains at Anfield.
And with that ban not due to be completed until the seventh round of next season, rumours have quickly spread that Suarez be moving on in the summer.
But Suarez has denied the speculation and his re-committed his abilities to the Liverpool cause, even admitting he was in ‘pain’ to be forced to sit-out Sunday’s derby clash.
“I have a deal with Liverpool and this is my present - and future,” Suarez is quoted as saying in the Sun.
“From the day I arrived, I saw how special this derby is, so it is a pain to miss it.
“But we have a big squad which can function without me.”
