Sinclair suffers blood clot

Manchester City manager Roberto Mancini has alleviated fears over the health of winger Scott Sinclair after he was taken to hospital with a blood clot.

• Mancini advises Sinclair to leave

The club confirmed that Sinclair, 24, is receiving treatment after he suffered the clot in his shoulder on Friday. He is being treated at Manchester's Alexandra Hospital.

Mancini said: "Scott had a problem yesterday. I don't think it is a bad situation and it is under control."

The City boss, speaking after the 0-0 draw with Swansea City, also played down concerns over Yaya Toure.

The midfielder was withdrawn at half-time at the Liberty Stadium but it appears there is no danger he will miss out on next weekend's FA Cup final against Wigan Athletic.

"He was tired and we thought it was better to bring him off," Mancini said.
