Wenger ready for three key matches

Arsene Wenger has said that Arsenal's long-term future is on the line as they prepare for their final three Premier League games of the season.

• Arsenal need to be wary

The Gunners' hopes of a top-four finish rely on Tottenham failing to win their final quartet of games and Wenger has conceded that his transfer ambitions this summer will be affected by his team's success or failure in securing Champions League football for a 16th successive season.

With Chelsea preparing for games against Manchester United and Tottenham in the coming days, Wenger insisted he is not being distracted by the results of his top-four rivals in the final few weeks of the season as his focus is trained on his own team's performances.

"We know it will be decisive if we win our games, that is compulsory," he insisted in his pre-match press briefing ahead of his side's game against Queens Park Rangers at Loftus Road.

"Focus on winning our games and then look at the results of other teams. The most important in that is not to lift your head just focus on our job and continue our strong run. We have put a strong run together and we want to use this belief in a very positive way.

"We go game by game and every game gives you a different proposal that you have to sort out. We are highly focused on tomorrow's game and on our performance. Everybody is really focused and wants to do well on tomorrow's game and that's what we want to achieve.

"The most important is to have a longer term vision. Since January, we have got stronger and stronger and for next season, it is important for the confidence on the long term future that we finish strong.

"That is why every game is important to us going into the next season to show we are on a good run and we have quality.

"As for the future, we wait to see, but (a top-four finish) can influence the players we want to join us. My focus for now is only on finishing our season and winning our games."

Meanwhile, Wenger insisted he had little interest in reports that Jose Mourinho has agreed to return to Chelsea next season, as his single minded approach to the end of season run-in ensured he would not be drawn on the events at rival clubs.

"That's Chelsea's affairs," he said of the Mourinho rumours. "I don't know what Chelsea want to do. Honestly, that is not my affairs and I just focus on the end of the season for us to do well. They have a good manager now and they will have a good manager next year. Nobody knows who it will be, nothing is official."
