Marek Hamsik has said he intends to stay at Napoli, insisting he is happy at the club despite their falling short in the Serie A title race this season.
Hamsik's impressive form for Napoli, who he joined from Brescia in 2007, has led to speculation that he could seal a big-money move away from the club.
But the Slovakia international has insisted he is happy in Naples as his side close in on second place, with table-toppers Juventus within touching distance of defending their title.
“I’m staying here,” Hamsik, whose contract expires in 2015, told Sky Sport Italia. "I am happy here and I like Naples. There are no Scudetto regrets. Second place is still a really important achievement.
"We’ve had an extraordinary campaign, but, unfortunately, Juventus have been better than us."
