Green fined by SFA
Former Rangers chief executive Charles Green has been fined £2,500 by the Scottish Football Association for using racist language in a newspaper interview.
Green was charged with breaking Disciplinary Rule 66 and Disciplinary Rule 71 which guard against comments which bring the came into disrepute and those which are not in the "best interests" of the SFA.
Green was criticised by campaign group Show Racism the Red Card last month after he was quoted in a newspaper report referring to former Ibrox director, Imran Ahmad, as his "little P*** friend".
But he claimed his comments had been taken out of context and that the term was meant, and accepted, in a light-hearted manner.
Information from the Press Association was used in this report.
