Lavezzi happy in France for now

Ezequiel Lavezzi's agent has dismissed speculation the Argentine international is pining for a return to Serie A this summer, saying the Paris Saint-Germain forward wants to remain in the French capital for now.

Despite signing a four-year deal following a reported €30 million switch from Napoli only last summer, Lavezzi, 27, has often been linked with a move back to Italy, with the two Milan clubs cited by French and Italian media recently as the most likely potential destinations.

However, Lavezzi has often emphasised how much he enjoys the freedom afforded him in France following his goldfish-bowl existence in Naples, and his representative, Alejandro Mazzoni, told TMW a summer departure is not on the agenda.

"‘El Pocho’ feels good in Paris," Mazzoni said. "All the players who have played in Italy have a certain nostalgia, because football there is a different experience to that in France, but PSG are a very important team who'll have a great season next year."

Lavezzi - like PSG's other summer imports from Serie A, Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Thiago Silva and Marco Verratti - has admitted he does miss Italy, and Mazzoni added a return was likely in the long term.

"Serie A has a lot of charm. He could go back to Naples one day. That's his home. He could also go to Inter Milan - they have a lot of Argentines in their squad. As far as I remember, Lavezzi has never said he's an AC Milan supporter."
