DFL president seeks re-election
Dr Reinhard Rauball, the president of the German Football League (DFL), will stand for another three-year term when elections are held in August.
Rauball, a former president of Borussia Dortmund, has been the DFL chief since 2007 and is serving his second term after being re-elected three years ago.
"The work with my colleagues on the league board and on the advisory panel has given me great pleasure in recent years,'' he said in a statement.
"Together with the clubs and the management of the DFL, difficult issues have been resolved for the good of football and the foundations have been laid for continued success in the future."
Rauball said the Bundesliga was "currently enjoying great success - sporting, social and economical - and I would like to play my part in this positive trend continuing".
