Holden itching for playing time
Stuart Holden has returned to Bolton after his loan spell at Sheffield Wednesday and has set his sights on helping Wanderers return to the Premier League.
Thank u Sheffield Wednesday players, fans and coaches for a great month! Enjoyed my time in Yorkshire + was made to feel very welcome! #swfc
He added: "Excited to join back up with Bolton and hope to play a part in the run-in + push for promotion."
With two games of the regular season remaining, Bolton are in sixth place while Holden sat out Wednesday's 1-1 draw with Ipswich on Saturday with a minor knock.
Manager Dave Jones told Sheffield Wednesday's official website: "Bolton are in a play-off spot, they have one or two injuries, and they want him back.
"He's got better and stronger as his loan has gone on and I would like to thank him for his services and wish him the very best for the future."
Jones had said last week that he has told USA manager Jurgen Klinsmann that Holden is able to return to the international fold.
He told the Sheffield Star: "He's a quality player. You can see that. He's getting over a long-term injury and that's difficult.
"The USA have a lot of games coming up in the summer. It's whether he's ready for that, which he is. I told Jurgen that."
