Younes Kaboul appears to have suffered a setback in his return from injury after hobbling off during a Tottenham Under-21s game on Monday.
Kaboul, 27, was injured in Spurs' opening game of the season, with the Frenchman missing almost eight months with the knee problem.
He made his first appearance in an Under-21 match against West Ham last week and came through unscathed, but was not so fortunate on Monday night, limping off in the 1-0 defeat.
Kaboul was replaced by Jack Barthram after just 48 minutes of the game with an apparent leg injury and it is uncertain whether the centre-back will return to first-team action before the end of the season.
Kaboul is currently joined on the sidelines by William Gallas, Aaron Lennon, Jermain Defoe and Gareth Bale, with Spurs struggling to maintain their push for Champions League qualification.
