Ajax goalkeeper Kenneth Vermeer will miss the crunch Eredivisie clash against PSV Eindhoven on Sunday after being handed a two-game suspension following his red card at the weekend.
The Holland international was dismissed in the 48th minute of yesterday's 4-0 win over Heracles when he brought down Geoffrey Castillion, automatically triggering a one-game ban.
But the suspension was extended to two games on Monday afternoon meaning Vermeer could also sit out the game against Heerenveen on April 19.
Ajax had until Monday evening to appeal the additional game.
Jasper Cillessen will take Vermeer's place in goal against Ajax but, with third-choice stopper Mickey van der Hart injured, it is unknown which goalkeeper will be amongst the substitutes.
Ajax lead PSV by three points at the top of the Eredivisie table with five games of the season remaining.
