Advocaat 'unlikely' to stay at PSV

PSV Eindhoven technical manager Marcel Brands has admitted it is "unlikely'' Dick Advocaat will stay with the club beyond the current season.

Philip Cocu, who was caretaker manager at the end of last season before Advocaat's appointment in the summer, is widely expected to be appointed as the former Netherlands coach's replacement.

When asked whether Advocaat would still be at the club next season, Brands told Studio Voetbal: "It is unlikely that he will.''

Cocu is currently coaching in PSV's youth set-up and it is expected Ernest Faber will move up with him as assistant manager although Brands admits another coach will also be brought in.

"We have spoken internally with those guys,'' he said. "We know what is happening with them. There will be a third guy to come.''

PSV currently sit second in the Eredivisie table, three points behind Ajax, and the two clubs meet on Sunday in a game which will go a long way to deciding the destination of the title.
