Central Coast Mariners midfielder Troy Hearfield has reportedly been sacked by the A-League club after failing a drug test.
The 25-year-old underwent a drug test after a match this season against the Melbourne Heart and it revealed traces of a recreational drug, according to The Daily Telegraph.
The newspaper added that the former Olyroos player, who has made 30 appearances for the Mariners since 2011, fronted a tribunal a fortnight ago after his contract was terminated two months ago.
He is no longer listed as a player on the club's website.
Before joining the Mariners, Hearfield racked up 66 games over three seasons with the Wellington Phoenix following a stint with the Newcastle Jets.
