Inter Milan striker Diego Milito returned to light training on Wednesday.
Milito, 33, suffered a knee ligament injury in a Europa League clash with CFR Cluj in February and it was expected that he would miss the rest of the season.
However, the Argentine trained alongside players including Cristian Chivu and Dejan Stankovic on Wednesday morning as they worked on their fitness following injuries.
Inter team-mate Rodrigo Palacio told Sky Sport Italia on Tuesday that the absence of Milito had been tough on the Nerazzurri as they battle for a Champions League place.
"Losing Diego Milito was a heavy blow for the team, as he is a player who really makes the difference," he said.
