Ronaldinho, Neymar named for friendly

Ronaldinho, Neymar and Alexandre Pato have been named in the Brazil squad for Saturday's friendly against Bolivia, with Luiz Felipe Scolari combining a mixture of youth and experience ahead of the exhibition match.

The friendly will raise funds for the family of Kevin Spada, the 14-year-old who was killed by a flare during a Copa Libertadores match between San Jose of Bolivia and Brazil's Corinthians in February.

Scolari selected a home-based squad, with overseas players unavailable for either side, giving a number of youngsters and fringe players their chance to impress.

Gremio defender Andre Santos, who is on loan from Arsenal, and Leandro Damiao gained selection for the Selecao, although Fluminense striker Fred was a surprise omission after scoring three goals in his last three internationals.

Scolari will use the friendly as a chance to test out a number of players from Brazil's Under-20 team - including Palmeiras forward Leandro, Nautico defender Douglas Santos, Corinthians goalkeeper Matheus Vidotto and Botafogo defender Doria - ahead of the Confederations Cup in July.

"I expect to profit from this match by watching some players who might be back in the main national team," Scolari said. Brazil squad: Jefferson (Botafogo), Matheus Vidotto (Corinthians); Douglas Santos (Nautico), Andre Santos (Gremio - on loan from Arsenal), Rever (Atletico Mineiro), Doria (Botafogo), Dede (Vasco da Gama); Jean (Fluminense), Arouca (Santos), Ralf (Corinthians), Paulinho (Corinthians), Jadson (Sao Paulo); Neymar (Santos), Ronaldinho (Atletico Mineiro), Alexandre Pato (Corinthians), Leandro Damiao (Internacional), Osvaldo (Sao Paulo), Leandro (Palmeiras).
