Klopp predicts UCL stunner in Spain

Borussia Dortmund manager Jurgen Klopp is predicting Wednesday's Champions League quarter-final first-leg showdown against Malaga will be "one of the best games of the competition".

• Cartlidge: Siege mentality suits Malaga
• Uesfeld: Lewandowski becoming a Dortmund legend

Klopp admitted he has admired Malaga's style of play under Manuel Pellegrini and expects an open affair in the first European clash between the two clubs.

"It is the first time we have played against Malaga," Klopp said. "We have seen and analysed a lot of their games. They are doing very well and are an experienced team with strong defensive and offensive systems.

"The tie is open, it is a great opportunity and we are happy to play Malaga.

"Many teams have been eliminated and Malaga are still in the competition. I think tomorrow we will see one of the best games of the competition."

The game also offers the chance for two of Europe's young, bright lights, Mario Götze and Isco, to go head-to-head on the biggest stage.

But Klopp refuses to allow youthful exuberance to carry away his team's focus, steeling his side for the importance of the clash in Spain.

"With young players like Isco and (Mario) Götze we do not think about how old they are," he said. "Isco is an excellent player, they are both very good.

"The most important game of the season is tomorrow's game. We want to reach semi-finals, let us see what will happen."
