Reus: Dortmund can win UCL

Borussia Dortmund striker Marco Reus believes the reigning Bundesliga champions have the quality to claim this season's Champions League crown.

• Cartlidge: Siege mentality suits Malaga
• Uesfeld: Lewandowski becoming a Dortmund legend

Dortmund travel to Spain on Thursday for their quarter-final, first-leg clash against Malaga full of confidence following a campaign that has included victories over some of the continent's biggest teams.

And with the recent 2-1 victory over Stuttgart keeping the club in second position in the league, Reus and his team-mates are now focused on taking the next step in their quest for European glory.

"Yes, of course we could win it," he told reporters at a press conference. "I believe we can do it because we have done well to come this far.

"Malaga are next and at this stage of the Champions League you have the ability to win it. Everything feels possible now. But Malaga are a good side. Small things will decide the outcome but we can definitely go much further.

"I've never played in London before. That would not be a bad way to start a game in London - with a Champions League final."

However, Dortmund are facing a mini-injury crisis heading into the match with Marcel Schmelzer, Sven Bender, Kevin Grosskreutz, Felipe Santana, Lukasz Piszczek and Reus all hampered by differing ailments.
