Ajax midfielder Christian Eriksen has raised doubts of his future with the Dutch club after admitting he could leave the Eredivise in the summer.

Eriksen’s announcement has alerted major European clubs to his availability with club such as Liverpool, Manchester United, Arsenal and Inter Milan positioning themselves in the race for the 21-year-old’s signature.

Eriksen, who has made over a hundred appearances for Ajax, has led the club to the top of the Dutch league while making a name for himself as a quality player in European competitions.

But Ajax could be set to lose one of their favourite sons with Eriksen admitting talks over a new contract have yet to be finalised.

“I don’t know if I will be an Ajax player after the summer - we will see what happens. I don’t exclude anything,” he said.

“I haven’t received a detailed offer of a contract extension yet, but my agent has had talks with the club regarding that matter.”
