Clarke 'bored' with Odemwingie episode

West Bromwich Albion head coach Steve Clarke has confirmed Peter Odemwingie is facing another two-week fine for his latest Twitter rant and has ordered the striker to express any more complaints directly to him.

• Blog: Trusting the academy

Clarke claims he is "bored" with the actions of Odemwingie, 32, but has been angered by the behaviour of the Nigeria international.

The Baggies boss' first media briefing since Odemwingie's latest attack on the club was an ill-tempered affair, with the Scot revealing his annoyance at being criticised, before informing journalists he would not answer any further questions on the Odemwingie situation at the club.

During the international break, Odemwingie took to the social networking site to criticise the club over a lack of first-team action, accuse team-mates of talking behind his back and tell a critical fan he wanted to be sacked.

Clarke confirmed Odemwingie is in the squad to face West Ham on Saturday, but his patience has snapped with the striker's continual Twitter jibes and said: "If he's got something to say to me he should come and say it to my face.

"I haven't got anything to say to him. If he's got something to say to me he should come and say it to my face.

"He has to come to me. He's the one that has the grievance, not me. I am absolutely bored with the whole episode. I'm not interested in what he said. The club will deal with it."

Odemwingie has already been fined £80,000 for a previous breach of the club's rules on social networking sites and Clarke said the matter of Odemwingie's punishment was now in the hands of sporting and technical director Richard Garlick.

"I don't read Twitter," Clarke said. "I understand there were some more comments and I told Richard and the club to deal with it in the way they see fit.

"Richard has been off ill. He hasn't been in. I'm just disappointed that I have to spend so much time talking about one player when I have such a fantastic squad of players who have made such a fantastic contribution this season. I am fed up of talking about one player."
