Ligue 1 leaders Paris Saint-Germain have ruled out the possibility of a range of limited-edition club bottles of wine being produced.
A Bordeaux-based wine company had hoped to work with PSG and exploit the club's new-found notoriety by naming vintages after star members of Carlo Ancelotti's squad, using an image and a biography of a player on its bottles.
However, well-heeled PSG fans hoping to uncork a 'Chateau Zlatan' or sip a 'Cotes de Bourg Beckham' are likely to be disappointed as the club has turned down the opportunity to add a unique product to its range of merchandise.
"The new owners of the club from the capital don't wish the image of the club to be associated with wine for the moment," winemaker Francis Lamblin told RMC radio.
Producer of bespoke wine labels for the last eight years, Lamblin previously delivered 90 cases of his Cotes de Bourg for Roger Milla's 60th birthday party in Cameroon.
