Carlos Vela has insisted he has no desire to leave Real Sociedad and return to Arsenal.
Vela joined the Gunners eight years ago and was tipped for greatness under manager Arsene Wenger.
The Mexican showed flashes of real talent but struggled to nail down a regular starting spot and spent chunks of time away from the club on loan.
Following loan spells at Salamanca, Osasuna and West Brom, Vela joined Real Sociedad and made a permanent move there last summer.
Arsenal inserted a buy-back clause in the deal and it has been claimed the Gunners are ready to activate it, but Vela has no desire to return to London.
He told Spanish news international agency EFE: "Arsenal are a big team who gave me the opportunity to play in Europe. I will always remember that, but I didn't have the opportunities that I felt I deserved. I am very happy here [at Real Sociedad] and would like to stay here."
