Taylor confident of U-20 WC chances

England under-20 coach Peter Taylor is confident his side can 'go a long way' in this year's World Cup after drawing Chile, Iraq and the yet unidentified African champions.

Speaking after witnessing the draw, Taylor was in a positive mood, believing this summer's showpiece event in Turkey was going to be an extravaganza of attacking football.

"You get the feeling here that it's going to be a really big, important tournament," Taylor told FIFA's official website fifa.com.

"I think this summer's going to provide us with a lot of good attacking football. We'll be working hard on scoring goals and hopefully making ourselves tough for our opponents.

"We're really keen to get off to a good start and if we manage that, we could go a long way."

Host nation Turkey drew Central American side El Salvador, South Americans Colombia and Asian opponent Australia.

"I am satisfied with our group," Turkey coach Feyyaz Ucar said. "Colombia and El Salvador will be our toughest opponents."

However, not everyone was happy with the draw, Spanish co-coach Juan Carlos Gomez Pelado ruing the reigning European champions luck in the ballot.

"We've been given the toughest draw," he said. "France and USA are very strong, and you can never rule out the African teams."

FIFA U-20 World Cup 2013 group stage draw:

Group A (Istanbul, Kayseri): France, CAF, USA, Spain
Group B (Kayseri, Istanbul): Cuba, Korea Republic, CAF, Portugal
Group C (Trabzon, Rize, Gaziantep): Turkey, El Salvador, Colombia, Australia
Group D (Gaziantep, Trabzon): Mexico, Greece, Paraguay, CAF
Group E (Antalya, Bursa): Chile, CAF Champion, England, Iraq
Group F (Bursa, Antalya): OFC Champion, Uzbekistan, Uruguay, Croatia
