Thomas Ince happy to stay at Blackpool

Former Liverpool target Thomas Ince has said he is happy to stay at Blackpool.

Thomas Ince has scored 18 goals this season

Ince, who began his career at Anfield before moving to Bloomfield Road in 2011, was the subject of a bid from Liverpool in the January transfer window but the two clubs could not agree a fee.

Reading also made an offer for the £6 million-rated England Under-21 international, who was named Young Player of the Year at the Football League Awards on Sunday.

But the winger, who has scored 18 goals for Blackpool this season, said he was grateful to the Seasiders - who appointed his father, Paul, as manager in February - and was enjoying his time at the Championship club.

He told Sky Sports News: "For me, if it wasn't for Blackpool I would not be where I am now and would not be the player I am now.

"I have tremendous belief in my team-mates and the fans. I will continue to give 100% and my all until the end of this season."

Since moving for Ince, Rodgers has signed winger Philippe Coutinho, while Reading have sacked Brian McDermott, the manager who attempted to buy him.
