Neill cleared to start for Sydney FC

Regular Socceroos skipper Lucas Neill will return to start for Sydney FC in Saturday's A-League derby clash with leaders Western Sydney Wanderers at Parramatta Stadium.

Neill missed Sydney's past two matches with a calf muscle injury but coach Frank Farina said he was ready to make his first appearance in hometown Sydney since joining the club, which is in a desperate battle for a finals berth.

"Lucas is fine, and he will start tomorrow," Farina said after training on Friday.

"It was good in terms of the 14 days rest he had, so he's good to go."

However, Farina said he would wait till Saturday before revealing who would be his starting goalkeeper.

Vedran Janjetovic was dumped on game day before last weekend's 1-1 draw with Melbourne Victory after he got stuck in traffic and arrived late at the ground and was replaced by Ivan Necevski.

"Both of them are going to be ready and prepared, so I'll announce that tomorrow," Farina said.

Captain Terry McFlynn will miss a second straight match with a hamstring injury.
