Beware Gala, Sneijder warns Jose

Galatasaray midfielder Wesley Sneijder has warned his former coach Jose Mourinho that the Turkish side will be tough opponents for Real Madrid in the Champions League.

Sneijder caught up with Mourinho, under whom he won the 2010 Champions League at Inter Milan, as the Madrid coach came to watch Galatasaray's 3-1 Turkish Lig win at Kayserispor.

The coach saw a goal from Sneijder and two by Champions League joint-top scorer Burak Yilmaz steer Galatasary to victory, and Marca reported Sneijder as saying it had been good to catch up with him.

"It was great to see Mourinho again," Sneijder said. "We have had some good times together, like winning the Champions League final against Bayern Munich.

"I have not had a chance to see him for a long time, and I am happy to have done so now. I gave him a message: watch out for Galatasaray."

Sneijder's form dipped after Mourinho left Milan for Madrid in summer 2010, but the Netherlands international midfielder said he was happy with the way he had been playing since joining Galatsaray in January.

"I am pleased with my performances - I am getting better all the time," he said.

"Now I am going to the national squad, I am captain and proud to go back. Being out for a while affected my performances, but bit by bit the real Sneijder is returning."

Mourinho's former Chelsea striker Didier Drogba also featured for Galatasaray, while ex-Madrid midfielder Hamit Altintop came off injured and is a doubt for the Champions League clashes.
