Injury rules Govou out for six months
Evian Thonon Gaillard forward Sidney Govou has been ruled out for six months after suffering a serious knee injury against Lille.
Govou, 33, who won 49 caps for France and joined Evian in 2011, will undergo surgery on Tuesday and is not expected to return to action until September.
He ruptured the patellar tendon in his left knee during Saturday's 2-1 win - a victory that boosted Evian's chances of avoiding relegation.
The player used Twitter to thank fans for their messages of support, writing: "Operation planned Tuesday morning... thanks again to you all."
