Dortmund watching PSG striker Gameiro

Reigning Bundesliga champions Borussia Dortmund are keeping tabs on out-of-favour Paris Saint-Germain striker Kevin Gameiro, according to L'Equipe.

Gameiro, 25, came on as a second-half substitute for Lucas Moura as PSG came from behind to win 2-1 against Nancy at the Parc des Princes this weekend, with Dortmund there to watch the striker.

The French international is under contract at PSG until June 2015 but is believed to have grown frustrated at a lack of opportunities in Carlo Ancelotti's side. He has started just four league games this season, but has still scored five goals, the most of any PSG player after Zlatan Ibrahimovic, who has 24 to his name.

Gameiro also came on as a substitute in last midweek's Champions League last-16 second leg against Valencia, and set up his side's equaliser in a 1-1 draw that took PSG through to the quarter-finals 3-2 on aggregate.

However, his stature is such that he was left out of the starting line-up for that game despite Ancelotti being without Ibrahimovic due to suspension and the injured Jeremy Menez.

Dortmund, who could meet PSG in the quarter-finals of the Champions League, are looking to strengthen their attack for next season with Polish international Robert Lewandowski expected to leave.
