Moses wants treble over United

Chelsea winger Victor Moses will be looking to complete a unique treble over Manchester United when the two sides meet in the FA Cup quarter-finals at Old Trafford on Sunday.

• Preview: Manchester Utd v Chelsea
• Lythell: Lifeless Chelsea stumble

Moses can consider himself a bogey man for the Old Trafford faithful –his last two appearances against the Red Devils have resulted in the Nigerian international walking away in the victorious side.

And with a spot in an FA Cup semi-final at Wembley up for grabs, the 22-year-old is hoping lightning can strike a third time.

"My last game against United was when we beat them 5-4 in the Capital One Cup," Moses told The Sun. "The time before was for Wigan at the end of last season when we won 1-0.

"That game was like a dream for me because we knew if we lost we'd probably get relegated and it was the best we played all season.

"But this game is not just about beating Manchester United. It is about winning the FA Cup again for Chelsea. "

Chelsea have endured a tough season so far; the Blues the first team in history to lose their European crown in the group stage the following year, a top-four finish in the Premier League proving a tough nut to crake while a mid-season coaching change has invoked rage around Stamford Bridge.

But Moses is confident victory over the league leaders would set Chelsea back on the path to calling this season a success.

"We have been up and down in terms of our form this season," he said.

"But there is the possibility for us to win the FA Cup and the Europa League so a win at Old Trafford would put us on the right track for the rest of the season."
