Martinez boosted by 'strongest' squad

Roberto Martinez believes Wigan will have their strongest squad of the season available for the FA Cup quarter-final against Everton this weekend.

• Brown: Nothing to lose against Everton
• O'Farrell: Jelavic still the man for Everton

Both Adrian Lopez and Ryo Miyaichi returned to fitness this week after long lay-offs so the Latics will only be without centre-back Ivan Ramis, who is out for the season, midfielder Ben Watson and winger Albert Crusat.

Spanish defender Lopez has only made one appearance in 2013 since tearing his hamstring at Norwich, while Japan international Miyaichi, who is on a season-long loan from Arsenal, has had his campaign interrupted by injuries.

Miyaichi had a groin problem earlier in the campaign and has been out since November with an ankle injury but Martinez said both are available after featuring for Wigan's Under-21s in their 1-0 defeat to Nottingham Forest on Monday.

"Adrian Lopez played 90 minutes for the Under-21s and Ryo played 45 minutes, so I do consider them fully fit and I think they are available now," Martinez said.

"Emmerson Boyce and Antolin Alcaraz have come through our two previous games, against Reading and Liverpool, well enough.

"So I do expect everyone to be available for selection apart from Ben Watson, Albert Crusat and Ivan Ramis. Probably this is the strongest we have been this season."
