Ramires: Past success drives Blues

Chelsea midfielder Ramires has pointed to last season's Champions League and FA Cup success as proof the club are not done yet in the fight for silverware.

Chelsea this season have taken on strong similarities to the last campaign with the club changing managers as the Premier League slipped from their hands.

But, with Robert Di Matteo at the helm, last season's squad was able to turn adversity into triumph, claiming the FA Cup before scoring a long fought for Champions League title.

And the 25-year-old Brazilian said that same belief could again turn a faltering season around for the Blues.

"It was around this time last year that everybody was telling us the season was lost already and we wouldn't win anything. Well, we all know how that ended," Ramires told the Daily Star.

"We are fighting for two competitions and we also need to make sure we get back in the Champions League, which means we have to finish in the top four.

"So until the last game is over, and there are no chances left for us to do anything, we will try to make sure we win something, as well as make our supporters happy.

"If there is any chance, even the smallest, the fans can know that we will be trying our best and we will never give up."
