Football fan killed in Argentina
A 31-year-old man has been killed during a brawl between fans of Gimnasia and Nueva Chicago ahead of their Argentina second division match on Saturday.
Julio Vizaci, also known as 'El Topo', was shot in the abdominal area during the violent clashes and later died in the San Martin hospital.
Gimnasia's 4-0 win was overshadowed by the incident, which also saw an 11-year-old wounded by a gun shot to the waist. The child is currently being treated at the Sor Maria Ludovica hospital, but is believed to be in a stable condition.
It was the second case of fan violence in as many weeks in Argentina after a fight between River Plate and Tigre supporters last week saw 14 people wounded.
The death brings to prominence South America's issues with crowd trouble, after a 14-year-old San Jose supporter was killed by a flare thrown by Corinthians fans last month.
