Mirko Vucinic has told Fiorentina forward Stevan Jovetic to join him at Juventus and ignore the suitors from the Premier League.
Jovetic has caught the eye during his time at Fiorentina and is widely believed to be set for a big-money move in the summer, with Arsenal and Manchester City reportedly keen on the Montenegro international.
Montenegro team-mate Vucinic is convinced he could form a lethal partnership with his compatriot if a transfer were to be agreed between Juve and the Viola.
“We play close together in the national side and we often switch positions with each other. I’d like to do that at Juve as he is a fellow countryman and is a really strong player,” Vucinic told Tuttosport.
“However, there is Beppe Marotta and Fabio Paratici here who work on transfers, it is up to them to decide.”
In regards to Vucinic’s own future, he insists he is happy in Turin, despite talk also linking him with a move to the Premier League.
“My future? I don’t look at it. I live one day at a time but I am happy in Turin. England? I am not interested,” he said.
Vucinic is expected to start against Napoli on Friday, with Juve looking to widen their six-point advantage over their opponents at the top of Serie A.
