Gattuso claims first win as Sion boss
Former AC Milan midfielder Gennaro Gattuso has won his first game in charge of Swiss side FC Sion.
After a turbulent year, the club announced on Monday it would "make the players face their responsibilities" and "take charge of their own affairs".
As captain, Gattuso, 35, was given the role of player-manager, after former Getafe boss Victor Munoz was demoted from his role.
And on Wednesday the ex-Italy international guided his team to a 2-0 Swiss Cup quarter-final win away to Lausanne. He made three substitutions from the pitch, including withdrawing himself four minutes from time.
Sion will now play one of Grasshoppers, Zurich or Basel in the semi-final.
Gattuso only signed for the club last summer but is now the fifth manager to have been appointed by Sion this season.
