St Etienne, Troyes reach quarters
St Etienne have overcome Ligue 1 rivals Lille to secure their progression to the Coupe de France quarter-finals with a 3-2 win at the Stade Geoffroy-Guichard on Tuesday.
Lille grabbed the early ascendancy through Marko Basa's 33rd minute opener, but Aurelien Chedjou's own goal on the stroke of half-time gave the hosts momentum.
St Etienne emerged from the break in the same way they ended the first as Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang struck four minutes after the resumption to hand his side the lead.
Brandao secured the victory for the home side, before Salomon Kalou scored a late consolation goal for Lille.
Ligue 1 woes were temporarily forgotten by strugglers Troyes who saw off Sochaux 2-1 to move into the last eight.
Jean-Cristophe Bahebeck set them on their way in the 10th minute and substitute Julien Faussurier's late goal proved crucial as Sochaux's Ryad Boudebouz netted a penalty deep into stoppage time.
Ligue 2 Le Havre's run was ended by another team in Ligue 1's bottom three, Evian.
Kevin Berigaud's brace set the hosts on their way and though Yohan Riviere pulled a goal back, Saber Khelifa made it 3-1 to Evian.
