Robert Huth has been charged with violent conduct following an incident in Stoke City's Premier League game at Fulham on Saturday.

The Football Association confirmed the defender would face action following an incident with Philippe Senderos which was not seen at the time during the 1-0 win for the London side.

"Huth was involved in an incident... which was not seen by the match officials, but caught on video," the FA said in a statement on its website.

The 28-year-old has been shown four yellow cards this season but has not been sent off despite having Stoke's worst disciplinary record last season of 12 yellows and one red card in all competitions.

Huth has until 18.00 on Wednesday to respond to the charge.

The big German centre-back's team-mate Steven Nzonzi was also involved in an altercation during the defeat at Craven Cottage.

The midfielder has been warned about controlling his temper after he first had to be calmed down when he reacting angrily to the home crowd's jeers for sustaining an inadvertent blow to the nose from Dimitar Berbatov, and he was then fortunate to only receive a yellow card for raising his hand to the face of Bryan Ruiz.
