Redknapp: We need 20 points
Harry Redknapp has set a target of 20 points from the last 12 games of the season for QPR to stay up, and feels they need to win at least half of them.
Despite that - and the fact QPR are seven points off safety - the Loftus Road boss says he has not even thought about the prospect of actually getting relegated.
"It's a big gap," Redknapp admitted. "We've got to try and close it. We've got to go on a run. We probably need 20 points.
"I haven't thought about going down. I'm thinking about staying up, winning games. The end of the season is way off for me.
"I just have belief that we can do it. If I stop believing, then everyone will stop believing. There are 12 games to go and lots of points to play for. Six points [in two games] can turn things around quickly."
Redknapp also believes the most recent 4-1 defeat to Swansea didn't reflect the improving quality of the team.
"We had a bad day," he added. "We'd been on a good run and we gave bad goals away. I thought we were much better in the second half."
