Bremen's Arnautovic rejects Dynamo Kiev

Werder Bremen striker Marko Arnautovic has turned down a lucrative offer from Dynamo Kiev, his agent has said.

Werder Bremen climbed above Monchengladbach in a 4-0 win.
Arnautovic is staying with Werder Bremen

Arnautovic’s brother and agent Danijel said the Ukrainian club had tried to persuade the 23-year-old Austrian forward to join them, but he had opted to remain in the Bundesliga.

“He was offered a great deal of money, but Marko is not the type to only look at the money,'' he told Kreiszeitung Syke.

“He would like to give Werder the chance to discuss his future with him, because Werder always stuck with him through difficult times. We have officially turned Kiev down.''

Arnautovic is under contract at Bremen until 2014, and the club are keen to extend that deal.

“We will be talking to him, but we are not under any pressure,'' director of sport Thomas Eichin explained. “It's not like his contract expires next Wednesday.''
