Juventus midfielder Paul Pogba has played down comparisons with former Serie A stars Patrick Vieira and Marcel Desailly, saying: "At this moment in time, I am a nobody."
Pogba, 19, moved to Turin last summer after his contract at Manchester United expired, and his performances have won him rave reviews in the Italian media.
But he said comparisons with Vieira and Desailly were wide of the mark, telling Canal+ he was just looking to improve.
"I'm happy to have been compared to great players, but at this moment in time I am a nobody," he explained.
"I keep a close eye on how Andrea Pirlo plays in order for me to improve the weak aspects of my game.
"I'm still not a [regular] first-team starter at Juventus, and [coach] Antonio Conte has told me that I have to be more competitive in the tackle."
