Menez could leave PSG in the summer
PSG midfielder Jeremy Menez has fuelled speculation that he will leave in the summer by revealing that he will hold talks on his future at the end of the season.
Menez, 25, was left out of the PSG squad to face his former club Sochaux on Sunday because of injury, but coach Carlo Ancelotti had been considering leaving him out as punishment for an angry outburst after Tuesday's Champions League win in Valencia.
Le Parisien reported that France international Menez had had heated exchanges with both Ancelotti and PSG sporting director Leonardo after the match.
And in an interview with TV channel TF1 this weekend, the midfielder hinted that he was less than pleased with life at the Parc des Princes.
"I need to feel I'm trusted and, the day that I no longer feel that, a solution will have to be found," he said. "We'll see what they want to do at the end of the season. Everyone has to make an effort, and perhaps I have to do more."
Ancelotti, 53, has given Menez just a single full 90 minutes in Ligue 1 since Lucas arrived from Sao Paulo and said he had told the player that his "attitude against Valencia was not good".
He told reporters: "The transfer window is closed. Menez has to stay. If he's not happy in June, he can ask to leave, like other players have done. He's important for our team, but competition for places is normal at a big club."
