Jagielka unfazed by Moyes situation

Phil Jagielka feels David Moyes' decision to put contract talks on hold will not have a detrimental effect on the rest of Everton's season.

• Blog: Improvement needed

Moyes - whose deal with the Toffees expires at the end of the current campaign - has chosen to wait until the summer before making a decision on his future.

The Everton boss is keen to see how his squad fares up until that point, but Jagielka does not believe this will put any added pressure on the players.

"We haven't done too bad in the time he has been here," he said. "It's not like we have under-achieved. If anything, we have slightly over-achieved in terms of budgets and transfer funds.

"The manager has pretty much brought every single player in, so we are his players. He has made decisions that he wants to make. He has come out in the press and said he will not sign anything until the end of the season, which is fine with us.

"Obviously, it will be nice to give him a quick reminder of how good we are by keeping this cup run going and pushing as high as we can up the Premier League."

Moyes, meanwhile, was pleased his Everton side were still in the FA Cup quarter-final draw, despite only managing a 2-2 draw at Oldham on Saturday.

"Oldham have got pedigree in the FA Cup," he said. "They had beaten Forest and Liverpool, so it was always going to be a tough game for us. The credit goes to Oldham."

The winner of Everton and Oldham will face a home tie against Wigan.
